"In 2006 the Isle of Woman Festival raised £45,000 but also raised  so much awareness that we received an amazingly generous donation from local businessman,
Albert Gubay, for £500,000."

Who came up with the crazy idea in the first place?

What ever possessed the Isle of Man to change gender for a whole weekend? A weekend when the female gender definitely take control – even the beloved Triscilion changes it’s three masculine legs for three shapely high heeled ones!

Well it all started in February 2005 when the people behind Yorkie chocolate bar (definitely not for girls) came up with a female friendly pink version of their chocolate bar and asked  the powers that be in the Isle of Man if they would change the name of the island for a weekend for the launch of their new product.

2007 promises to be bigger and better than even with a fabulous range of fun, pampering and sporting events to keep girls happy of all ages.
